Looks like I'm the first one to crit on this one as well, guess it's because you always submit your photos in the evening, about the same time I check the chat before going to bed ^^

Anyway - excellent shot, nicely focused. Very good stained feeling, sort of.

This is really nice. I could see this on the wall of my son'e room. I like how the ball is encased by the glove and the glove, in turn is encased by the frame of the picture.Creative use of repetition.

You are becoming a master of photographing the ordinary things around us and making them beautiful.

Very well done Mike. My congratulations. You are improving so much since you first came here. It's your open mind and creativity that makes you succesful. I like the wonderful and ancient detail of the glove and the ball. The photo has great expression.

The white of the ball jumps out at the viewer, I think a wise choice (consciously or not) was made in selecting both ball and glove. The rest of the photographic process was just good equipment and great skillz. Nice work!

great still life with amazing texture and just the right balance between light and dark. i am, however, not quite sure about composition. do you have over versions of this subject?

p.s.: congrats to no.1 - you desvere it! :)

Avatar Wysiwyg

Well done Mike, you did a great job in catching the texture of each object. I have to agree with Daniela above me, the basball almost deadcenter, with the opening of the glove facing directly towards the viewer is kinda (for lack of a better word) typical....

Sorry if that seems harsh, but I say it because I know you have great potential.... (thumbup)

Awesome shot. The glove looks great, a bit worn and ragged, which makes it look very real. Great capture!
